Commissioner Kimberly Roy is a public health advocate, humanitarian, and regulatory leader currently serving on the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission (CCC). With a career rooted in compassion and community, she brings a human-centered approach to cannabis policy and reform.
Before her appointment to the CCC, Roy served in the Worcester County Sheriff's Office, where she oversaw community outreach programs, working directly with local residents to address issues of public safety, rehabilitation, and support services. Prior to that, she worked with Johnson & Johnson, helping provide critical antibiotics for global medical missions in underserved regions around the world.
Today, Commissioner Roy applies that same passion for service to the cannabis space—focusing especially on veteran access, public education, and equity-driven regulatory reform. From launching teen cannabis-impaired driving awareness campaigns in partnership with AAA and the RMV, to advocating for transparency in state revenue distribution, she remains a powerful voice for responsible cannabis oversight in Massachusetts.
